Well, the Annapolis Larsens had our first experience with Naval Academy football last week. It was a hoot! Since we are so close to the Yard (and the Football stadium), the entire Brigade of Midshipmen march right past our street. That's 4,200+ of future Navy and Marine Corps officers -- quite a sight to behold!
The onlookers were tossing candy and other assorted goodies to the Midshipmen as they marched on by. Chris and Aimee, however, didn't quite understand that the candy was not meant for them.
And, Chris spotted one of our plebes that we are sponsoring this year (the freshmen students who have little to no liberty), and quickly ran up to him for a photo op.
His name is Steven Sifuentes, a former Corporal in the Marine Corps who recently returned from Iraq where he was awarded the purple heart. Steven has come over a couple of Saturdays to escape the Academy bubble, and Chris is star struck.

Tomorrow Navy plays another Home game against UMASS...we have a bag of halloween candy ready for them as they march on by.
And, tomorrow night, Bill Cosby is going to be in town doing a show at the Academy.
Onwards...

Dude...count us in! We'll check the dates and see when we can come up! It was so fun talking to Aimee on the phone last night (though, as usual, she seemed much more interested in talking to Uncle Robert than to Mrs. Uncle Robert). I hope you guys had fun at Bill Cosby!
Chris looks very handsome. I can't believe how big he is getting.
Celeste, what are we doing for your birthday? Do we need to come party?
