It's good to be home.
I have neglected blogging for quite some time. As I downloaded the pix from my camera, I realized there was a lot that I failed to blog over the past few weeks. I thought of trying to do a massive post about all our goings on, but figured that would get too cumbersome.
Thanks a ton for the suprise birthday party for me at Nana's when I dropped the kids off. It was great. And, I really appreciate all of the happybirthday's I got from all of you. Some of the voice mails just showed up on my phone this week (I have a crummy old phone). 32 doesn't feel that different. I imagine when I get to be Geoff, Jon, or Fred's age, I will feel a bit different. Because, face it, they ARE old.
As you may know, I was up in Rhode Island for a two week international law of military operations course; it was quite interesting. We had some of the I-law heavy hitters addressing us, and I got to rub shoulders with a lot of senior JAGs and lawyers from other countries (Argentina, Serbia, UK, Australia, Lebanon, Israel, etc...). It was a good course.
And, Celeste and the kids drove all the way up to surprise me on Father's Day. It was such a nice gesture, and I sure appreciated having them close by...tho I don't think they appreciated the hotel room with one bed!!!
On Sunday, we went for a hike on Newport's famous Cliff Walk...I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

What are you saying? My post was too lengthy? It was a pretty cliff walk with the Mansions in the background.
