Merry Christmas

Hey Guys; Merry Christmas!!!! Nana - thanks for the tree, it was just too big to go in my room, so now we have one at work. The guys loved helping me decorate it. you can see my desk behind the tree - I almost got arrested because I took a picture inside our headquarters - they are pretty funny about that, it's classified so no one can see what it looks like, of course now all of you have to be dealt with of course.
This is a picture that on the Soldiers is painting with an air-brush at the entery way to the buidling, it is to honor our fallen Soldiers - he is really good, I'll have a picture when the whole area is done.
If you can't tell its a gold - RPK - a verson of the AK-47, this one was recovered by one of our units from an enemy weapons cache. Don't be jealous Robert and Corey - I'll get a better picture. I don't think the gold is that nice - the nickle is pretty in my opinion. We hosted the Sec. of Defense this week. Didn't get to meet him, but help with the analysis and the presentation that our two star generel gave him on the sitution in Iraq. We also hosted the WWE wrestling group - they were great, they come over every year and perform for the Soldiers; they were pretty neat people - but I could take them.
Have a great weekend
love,
jonathan

That's so sweet, Jon-and by sweet I mean, awesome! The pics are great. I love your tree (though I'd hate for you to get in trouble...ahh the pains you take for the family. now, that's dedication). Robert very much enjoyed the pics of the guns. He's now teaching me the diff between the ak and the rpk. tres interesting.
It's good to hear from you. I love how we can talk with you via email and the blog! Keep it up.

We love you!

PS...are your walls magnetic? We're still searching for the perfect wall deco for you-but our search might be expanded if we can use magnetic materials...

The walls in my new CHU are not metal, but I can't drill into them, really just tape or sticky stuff.
Glad you like the pictures - and I wouldn't do anything crazy; I was very careful and ensured that nothing that would have gotten me into trouble was not in the frame - I had to have someone approve the picture.

I think you need a tree for your room... maybe some more decorations, we will get on it. It is so wonderful to hear everyone praying for you. Little Aimee is so sweet... worrying about spiders in Iraq that go after your shadow. We can wait until Dulcie and the boys get here. I love you.

Great pictures, Jon! Now I understand the men in dark suits that have been following me the past few days. I thought they were in my head! Maybe they are!

So nice to hear from you. Can't wait to see Dulcie and the boys but wish you were coming, too.
