Go Speed Derby, Gooooo....

Christian and Aimee just participated in their FIRST pinewood derby! Thanks to Grandpa's help, Christian had the tools and the know-how to make his car (well, until g-pa left and I had to then supervise...poor kid).

And, as you can see, the mechanism at the actual race wa
s pretty darn sophisticated, with a laser reader, computer scoring and ranking, etc...

It all seems very hi-tech. And Chrissy looks so grown up--handling power tools and wearing a uniform. *sniff*

Chris, your drawing and your car are amazing! Aimee Sue, I love your pink and purple car. I'll bet y'all had the best looking racers at the derby. Hope it was fun!

Chris and Aimee...holy cow. I love your cars. I'll have to get your tips. Robert wants to make a car for the pinewood derby in our ward...
that is all so cool. I have never made one of those (let alone designed my own car)...
i'm tres impressed.
