Mel's latest wedding cake

This is the cake I just did this weekend.

Each white chocolate curl was placed on the cake one by one. It took me about 8 hours even with the help of my sister.

Ok. so I mean, i know your birthday is coming and all but I just want to get it out there early..that's the cake i want for my birthday. only, instead of just white chocolate curls, I think I'd like dark chocolate and white chocolate in stripes...get where I'm going? We're talking total zebra safari wedding cake. i'm telling you what!
Hey...have you gotten your magazine yet?

Mel, that looks so pretty. Maybe, someday, you could make me a cake too. I can't afford you, but I sure like you a lot...

great looking cake...but, it's perspective leaves a lot to be desired. Instead of Roses, you should have used butterflies...

I'm just saying

Okay Lesley. I like the whole zebra theme. I think it would be great to just go ahead and roll the zebra hide onto the cake kind of like rolled fondant. It really would save me a lot of time. I am just not sure it would taste very good. It has been a while since I have had any zebra!!

Whit, You know I would make you a cake any time you want. You could afford me because I am indebted to you just for being able to be lucky enough to be your sister-in-law. You just wait until I get there this summer. It will be a black forest like none other. Only for you!! "NOT A DAY GOES BY"
