Hey all...it has been awful quiet around the blog recently. I thought I'd break the cyber silence.
Mount Vernon was offering free admission for active duty members in honor of Veteran's Day. So the kids and I took advantage of the offer, and made the trek to George Washington's house.

Since it was Veteran's Day, they also let the Vets place a flower on the tomb of George Washington.
It was a beautiful day! 75 degrees, with the leaves (those that still remain) in their full Fall colors. As Spongebob has been singing all weekend (and consequently my Kids), it was the "Best Day Ever."

That certainly does sound like the best day ever. What a neat experience. I've never been to Mt. Vernon. It looks like we'll have to make the trip! Those kids are so cute! Thanks for sharing...
