A BRAND NEW CAR!!!!
Well, over the president's day weekend, Celeste and I had a long heart-to-heart about the status of our Dodge Caravan. It had been acting spotty since the Fall (consistent transmission woes), which relegated it to be stuck in our garage, or for "around town" drives only. I was driving it Friday night when we heard a noticeable metal-on-metal screeching. It looked like the CV joints were on the way out as well.
I was fed up with the car. Celeste and I saw no point in sinking a car payment + insurance to a car that wouldn't run. So, we went car shopping.
We shopped around (most of it online), did some price comparisons, walked out from a few dealerships, and ulitimately were given a great offer on a Honda Pilot. It wasn't even on our radar (we thought it was too expensive) until they negotiated the price (again, mostly all online) down quite a bit.
Sooo, this is the first new car that we have ever owned. We are nervous driving it around (afraid to get the first ding).
I wanted to get it tricked out with some cool spinners...Celeste wouldn't indulge me.
