As I posted a few months ago, 7-11 and the Simpsons were going to market together prior to the movie on 27 July. I had read that most 7-11s would be decorating as a Kwik E Mart, but later learned that only a dozen or so nation-wide would be doing it. Well, as it turns out, there was ONE in Maryland.

Celeste, being the eternal space coyote that she is, google earth'ed the location, and on our way down to Les' shakespeare play, we diverted course and visited the completely tricked out 7-11. The kids were excited...as was I. Christian had a debate with Celeste about what the decorations would include. He was convinced that they would have an image of Frostilicus in the freezer -- he was right!!!

After getting a Squishie, some hmmmmm donuts, Buzz cola and some Krusty O's, we headed out. Here are some of the pictures (and no, I was not the only one! the manager was telling me that people were traveling far and wide to visit his store).

I can just see Christian writing an essay about where he went on his summer vacation. While some kids can write about travels in Europe, sports' camps, treks out west, etc... my kids will regale the teacher about their family trip -- to a convenience store.
I am so white trash that it's pitiful.
The movie comes out next week. I'd be more than happy to treat any interested parties!
