Labor Day Floor Project - demolition

As many of you know, we decided to install a laminate / wood floor in our living room, dining room, and hall way.

Day one - Demolition-

We found most of it easy; most of it.

The tile was a bugger. Had to rent a small power hammer to get up the "thin set." The jack hammer really did the trick; just filled the house with a thin coat of white dust.

Carpet, no problem. Everyone was a big help. Ranen here helping Dulcie clean up the mess from the jack hammer.

Jonathan loved ripping up the carpet (above) even wrote about it in his journal - then he decided to write our names on the floor and drew a picture of our family.
